The Greedy Dog and Its Reflection

Once upon a time, there was a dog that stole a yummy piece of meat. It held the meat tightly in its mouth and walked towards a bridge over a river. When the dog reached the middle of the bridge, it looked down and saw its own reflection in the water.
The dog didn’t know it was just seeing itself and thought there was another dog with another piece of meat. It got greedy and wanted that second piece of meat too.
Excitedly, the dog barked at its own reflection, trying to scare away the “other dog.” As it barked, the piece of meat it had stolen slipped from its mouth and fell into the river. The fast-moving water quickly carried the meat away. The greedy dog lost his meat.

Moral: “Grasp all, lose all.”
