ACTIVITY 1

Read the passage and answer the questions that follow:
In 1910, Nazrul met the revolutionary Nibaran Chandra Ghatak, who was his teacher. The poet Kumud Ranjan Mullick was the Headmaster of the school. Nazrul joined next.

Answer the following questions:

a) When did Nazrul meet Nibaran Chandra Ghatak?
Ans: Nazrul met Nibaran Chandra Ghatak in 1910.

b) Who was Nibaran Chandra Ghatak?
Ans: Nirban Chandra Ghatak was Nazrul’s teacher.

c) Who was Kumud Ranjan Mullick?
Ans: Kumud Ranjan Mullick was the headmaster of the school where Nazrul studied.

ACTIVITY 2

Make sentences with the following words:

a) revolutionary: Revolutionary movements seek to completely change every aspect of society.

b) teacher: The role of a teacher is to shape the minds of the younger generation.

c) school: I go to school regularly.

ACTIVITY 3

Write six sentences about ‘Making a Mask’ by using linkers.
At first a square size elastic cloth is collected. Then the cloth is laid out flat and folded in half. Next fold top third down and fold bottom up to meet it. After that Thread through two elastic bands 12 cm. apart. At last fold each side to the middle and tuck into the folds. Now the mask is ready to use.
